Elena Paillaud is Professor of Geriatric Medicine at the University Paris Descartes, France. She was chair of the Department of Geriatric Medicine and Director of the Geriatric Oncology Clinic at the Henri Mondor Hospital Group, APHP, Creteil, France. She recently moved at the Europeen Georges Pompidou Hospital Group, APHP, Paris, France. She is a program director of the geriatric medicine training programs at the University Paris Descartes Elena Paillaud received her medical degree from Pierre et Marie Curie University, Paris 6, France and her residency and fellowship at the University Paris Diderot, Paris 7.
Dr Paillaud is board certified in Rhumatology (1994) and Geriatric medicine ( 1998). She received his Geriatric Diploma Europeen at the European Academy for Medicine of Ageing Faculty in Switzerland (1999). Dr Paillaud received her Master 2 research diploma in neurosciences (1999) at the Laboratoire de Neuroplasticité et thérapeutique, INSERM U421 and was Certified Director of Research Projects at the University of East Paris Creteil (2006). Dr Paillaud ‘s clinical research activities include cancer and ageing , assessment of frail patients, assessment and management of malnutrition in older patients, prognostic assessment of older cancer patients. Dr Paillaud is the program research leader of Geriatric Oncology at the Clinical Epidemiology and Ageing (CEpiA) Research Unit, EA 4393, of the University of East Paris Creteil.
Dr Paillaud is past-President of Francophone Geriatric Oncology Society. She is a member of International Society of Geriatric Oncology, French Society of Geriatric and Gerontology , French Society of Nutrition.
